About Dr. Lauren Pasqua

Psychologist | Group Practice Owner | Private Practice Business Coach

Hi, I'm Dr. Lauren Pasqua—a psychologist, business owner, and private practice coach who helps therapists build practices that are sustainable, profitable, and aligned with their values.

Whether you're launching your first practice, scaling a group, or trying to make sense of the business side of therapy, I provide clear systems, financial strategy, and marketing guidance so you can grow with confidence—not overwhelm.

My Journey: From Solo Practice to Scalable Business

In 2012, I was a newly licensed psychologist who had just relocated to Texas. I joined a therapist collective and opened my own private practice. Within a few years, I had built a fully private-pay practice with a waitlist.

That growth didn't happen by accident. I invested heavily in learning marketing, positioning, and business systems long before most therapists were talking about them.

But after six years of solo practice, something was missing: community.

Private practice can be isolating. I missed collaboration, mentorship, and being part of a team that learned and grew together.

So I took a leap.

Building Connections Child & Family Center

In 2018, I founded Connections Child & Family Center with a clear vision: create a group practice rooted in collaboration, clinical excellence, and sustainable growth.

Over time, I expanded into:

  • Training and clinical supervision
  • Leadership development within my team
  • Building repeatable systems that supported both client care and clinician wellbeing
  • Developing a comprehensive training program for therapists

I grew Connections from a solo vision into a thriving group practice with multiple clinicians, proving that sustainable growth is possible when you have the right systems, culture, and leadership in place.

Today, I've founded and grown three successful mental health businesses serving children, adolescents, families, and parents across Texas. Most recently, I purchased the Center for Postpartum Family Health from its founder and revived it with a new business model and marketing strategy—positioning it for significant growth while continuing to serve mothers and families with comprehensive perinatal mental health care.

Through this work, I've learned what truly drives sustainable growth:

  • Strong operational systems
  • Clear financial foundations
  • Authentic marketing and personal brand strategy
  • Values-aligned leadership infrastructure

Why I Coach Therapists

Over the years, I've watched how difficult it's become to enter private practice. Start-up costs are high. Renting office space feels risky. Even with telehealth, many clinicians feel unprepared to run a business—especially when graduate training rarely covers systems, finances, or marketing.

I realized I could help more than just my own team.

That's why I created Mindspace Aligned Practice—to support therapists who want to build practices that work in the real world, not just in theory.

Coaching felt like a natural extension of what I was already doing: helping clinicians think like business owners, build sustainable systems, and grow with intention.

How I Work

I've walked the path you're on. I understand the uncertainty, the pressure, and the desire to build something meaningful without sacrificing your life in the process.

My coaching is business-forward, practical, and grounded in real experience. We focus on:

Systems & Operations

Build workflows, documentation processes, and team structures that create consistency and reduce burnout

Financial Strategy

Clarify pricing, reimbursement models, revenue streams, and service mix for predictable profitability

Marketing & Personal Brand

Define your niche, craft authentic messaging, and create a marketing plan that fills your caseload without constant hustle

Growth & Scale

Expand your practice—whether through specialty services, hiring, or new income streams—in a way that supports sustainability, not chaos

I especially love helping therapists find their voice through marketing and personal branding. It's not just about doing good work—it's about helping the right people find you and understand what makes your practice different.

My Coaching Approach

I bring my training as a psychologist to every coaching relationship—which means I focus on data, measurable goals, and strategic planning. We don't just talk about what you want; we create concrete action steps and track your progress.

But I also bring my relational clinical skills. I understand the emotional side of building a business, the vulnerability of putting yourself out there, and the unique challenges therapists face when shifting from clinician to entrepreneur.

I'm a realist, so I tell you like it is. If something isn't working, I'll say so. If you're getting in your own way, I'll point it out—kindly, but directly.

At the same time, I'm your biggest cheerleader. I celebrate your wins, believe in your potential, and remind you of how far you've come when things feel hard.

This combination of strategic clarity and genuine support is what makes my coaching both effective and sustainable.

My Philosophy

I believe therapists deserve:

  • Businesses that support their lives—not consume them
  • Clear systems instead of constant stress
  • Marketing that feels human, not salesy
  • Leadership structures that allow for growth and rest

Mindspace Aligned Practice exists to help you enjoy your work, feel confident in your business decisions, and create the freedom you envisioned when you chose private practice.

A Little More About Me

When I'm not coaching or running my businesses, I'm a mom to three bright, spirited kids and the wife of a wonderfully supportive partner. As a family, we love being outdoors—biking, hiking, swimming, and walking our dog whenever we can.

I'm also an avid reader, especially drawn to science fiction and fantasy, where creativity, systems, and world-building collide. Those interests shape how I think about business and leadership: building systems that support people, not squeeze them—and creating cultures where individuals feel seen, valued, and challenged to grow.

As a leader, I balance warmth with accountability. I care deeply about people and results, and I bring that same approach into my coaching—helping therapists step confidently into their roles as business owners and leaders, not just clinicians.

Who I Work With

I coach therapists at every stage of private practice growth:

New Practice Owners

Build strong foundations in systems, finances, and marketing so your practice can grow with confidence from the start.

Established Therapists

Refine operations, clarify your niche and personal brand, stabilize revenue, and reduce burnout.

Group Practice Owners

Create scalable systems, develop leaders, and build a collaborative, growth-focused culture—without losing sight of clinical quality or your own capacity.

Let's Build the Practice You Deserve

Your practice has the potential to change lives—not only for your clients, but for you as well. With the right systems, financial clarity, and marketing strategy, private practice can be both meaningful and sustainable.

If you're ready to build a business that aligns with your values, supports your life, and grows with intention, I'd love to work with you.
